How does reverse osmosis work?
Water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane with pores smaller than 0.0001 microns. Contaminants, dissolved solids, and most bacteria can't pass through. The result is water that's cleaner than most bottled water, from your own tap.
What does the 6-stage system remove?
Our 6-stage process removes chloramines, fluoride, PFAS, lead, arsenic, nitrates, dissolved solids, bacteria, and most other contaminants. The stages include sediment prefiltration, carbon block, reverse osmosis membrane, and post-filters that polish the taste.
Does RO waste a lot of water?
Traditional RO systems waste 3-4 gallons for every gallon purified. Modern RO systems are more efficient. We can discuss high-efficiency options during your water test.
Can I add RO to my existing filtration system?
Yes. RO works at the kitchen tap, separate from your whole-home system. Most homeowners pair a whole-home filter with an under-sink RO system for both protection at every faucet and premium drinking water.
How often do filters need replacing?
Pre-filters every 6-12 months. The RO membrane every 2-3 years. Post-filter every year. We'll set you up with a reminder schedule and can handle filter replacements as part of annual service.
